Curvy Jones on: Buzz, Babe? Babe? Buzz?
This afternoon, I got my usual ’dingly ding!’ notification from my Berry that I had an email in my Gmail account. I opened it and was horrified… well, not horrified, just kind of annoyed and confused… this BUZZ thing had forced itself on me.
The What?
Google Buzz is…. something. You know what? I don’t know what it is.
I heard about it yesterday, proceeded to ignore it, and it showed up in my Google account today, molesting all of my email and mingling with my Google docs. Earlier today, I said something to the effect of ‘I’ll want GoogleBuzz like I wanted GoogleWave, and then I’ll get it, and then stare at it, and then go……………….the what??? Because I still don’t know what GoogleWave is!
It looks to me to be kind of facebookish except it’s just for your Google contacts. And twitterish except it supposedly does more than twitter. But…….just for your Google contacts. Cause, those are the only people I want to talk to all day. I totally want to maintain 2-3 methods of social interaction open, as well as IM and email. TOTALLY.
It seems to work with chat and twitter and Picasa. It also slices and dices and leaves your laundry with a fresh, clean linen scent. Too bad I don’t really need one of those Slap Chop things and I already use those Purex laundry sheets. Turns out I don’t need this Google Buzz thing.
This will probably turn out like Twitter, which I had a year before I really even used it, swore I’d never really be into it, and now it’s pretty much where most of my online social interaction happens.
But hey… if twitter and facebook ever blow up… man… I’ll be right on this… BUZZ… thing….

Yeah, I am not sure what the hell Google was thinking with this Buzz thing. Oh and you mentioned Twitter. You Twittered something about Intervention. I saw my first episode tonight! What a train wreck! I loved it!

How the hell have you never seen Intervention!? I like to watch the stories. I usually turn it at the point of the intervention. I don’t like conflict, lol. The only one I did watch recently was the girl that was totally delusional and said that people were radioactive and the radiation coming off of them caused her pain and broke her bones. But she could run and dance, so….
